The agronomist is responsible for the daily management of the vineyards, from winter pruning to harvest. The oenologist is responsible for the management, administration, and consultancy activities in wineries for the production and transformation of grapes, as well as for aging, preservation, bottling, and marketing of the derived products.

He/she can work in managerial roles in organizations, associations, and consortia. He/she is qualified to conduct and certify microbiological, enochemical, and sensory analyses of wines.

He/she can collaborate in the design of vineyards and wineries, as well as in the selection of related technologies.

Finally, he/she works closely with the person responsible for the distribution and marketing of wine products, including aspects of communication, marketing, and branding.
